WMG2021関西とは
ワールドマスターズゲームズとは、国際マスターズゲームズ協会（IMGA）が4年ごとに主宰する概ね30歳以上のスポーツ愛好家であれば誰もが参加できる生涯スポーツの国際総合競技大会です。
そのワールドマスターズゲームズが次大会2022年5月（当初の予定は2021年5月でありましたが、新型コロナウィルス感染拡大防止対策のため1年延期）に、アジアで初めて開催されることが決定し、その舞台が関西であり、「テニス競技」は兵庫県加西市の青野運動公苑アオノテニスクラブと兵庫県三木市のブルボンビーンズドームにて開催されます。
テニス競技におきましては、30歳から5歳刻みで区分し、且つシングルスでは初級者と上級者のカテゴリーの設定（一部の区分は除く及びダブルス・車いす・クァードはオープン）により、比較的同じレベルにて楽しめるように分けております。
テニスの経験が浅い方でも30歳以上であれば、どなたでも参加できるのがワールドマスターズゲームズの特徴でもあります。
テニス競技の参加者数目標は、全世界より1,000人以上の参加者を目標とし、国内外の参加者とテニスを通じて競技を楽しむことは勿論、仲間作りと共に国際的な交流を深める大会を目指しております。

About WMG2021 Kansai
The World Masters Games (WMG) is a lifelong international competition which is held every four years by the International Masters Games Association and allows sports enthusiasts who are around 30 years old and older to participate.
It was decided that WMG will be held in Asia for the first time in May 2022. Aono tennis club in Kasai city and Bourbon Beans Dome in Miki city, both in Hyogo Prefecture, Kansai District are selected for tennis competition venues.
In Singles competition, all participants are classified into age groups (in five-year increments) from thirty years-old and also categorized as beginners and advanced players. However, regarding Doubles, Wheelchair and Quad competitions there is no categorization as beginners and advanced players. By these ways all players could enjoy games at a comparatively same level. It is one of the benefits of WMG.
Our target number of participants from all over the world is more than 1,000. WMG is aiming at not only all players inside and outside Japan enjoying tennis competition, but also making the acquaintance of each other and deepening international exchanges.
